Job Description
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets, developing reports and dashboards, and providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders. The BI Analyst serves as a bridge between business units and technology teams, ensuring that organizational objectives are supported through data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business strategies.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver customized analytical solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data by performing data validation and applying governance best practices.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational success and identify areas for improvement.
- Support advanced analytics initiatives such as forecasting, segmentation, and predictive modeling.
- Develop clear documentation and provide training to end-users to maximize the effective use of BI tools and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Prior experience in consulting, IT services, or related industries is a plus.
Required Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data into meaningful insights.
- Skilled in BI platforms, SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of Python or R is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with leadership.
- High attention to accuracy, data integrity, and quality assurance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
