Job Description
The Graphic Designer II plays a pivotal role in developing visually compelling designs that support brand identity, marketing campaigns, and organizational initiatives. This mid-level role requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and collaboration. The Graphic Designer II works independently on projects of moderate to high complexity while also providing guidance to junior team members. This position bridges creative vision with practical execution, ensuring deliverables meet business objectives and resonate with target audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and produce creative assets across digital and print platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, email campaigns, infographics, and collateral.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and project teams to translate strategic goals into effective visual solutions.
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual communications and ensure adherence to corporate style guidelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide art direction and design support for campaigns, product launches, and events.
- Partner with vendors, photographers, and printers to ensure high-quality output of materials.
- Review and edit designs for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with brand standards.
- Mentor and support junior designers, providing constructive feedback and knowledge-sharing.
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance creative output.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3–5 years of professional design experience, preferably in an in-house creative team or agency setting.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across digital and print.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects from concept through completion with minimal supervision.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and other relevant design tools.
- Working knowledge of web design principles, UX/UI basics, and digital asset creation.
- Strong typography, layout, and visual composition skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts and decisions.
- Ability to adapt to feedback and incorporate revisions quickly and effectively.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira) is a plus.
