Position Summary:
The Lead Case Manager provides leadership and oversight to Case Managers and Housing Navigators, ensuring that all residents receive comprehensive, trauma-informed, and housing-focused services. This role ensures compliance with HOST standards, supports staff development, and directly manages a caseload while prioritizing supervision, quality assurance, and team coordination.

General Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

- Supervise Case Managers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Ensure residents receive comprehensive case management services, including intake, assessment, goal planning, and connection to housing resources.
- Maintains a (1 to 30 or less) caseload, modeling best practices for the case management team.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with HOST Shelter Standards, including documentation, grievance processes, and sensitivity training.
- Review case files and HMIS entries for accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
- Facilitate case conferencing and staff meetings to promote collaboration and problem-solving.
- Support staff development by identifying training needs and coordinating professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager on staffing coverage, reporting, and contract deliverables.
- Coordinate with community partners, housing providers, and HOST officials to expand resident access to services.
- Lead crisis intervention and de-escalation support for staff when necessary.
- Prepare reports, data summaries, and documentation as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

- Strong knowledge of case management, supportive housing systems, and family homelessness.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop staff in a supportive, professional manner.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload while prioritizing leadership duties.
- Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Case Managers.
- Provides ongoing coaching, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensures staff meet program and contract compliance requirements
Expected Hours of Work
40 hours per week (some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required)

Bayaud Works is a subsidiary of AC Disaster Consulting. Our Temporary Staffing Service works with Federal, State, City, County, and private employers to provide high-quality staffing and operations support. Bayaud Works was created to provide opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment and has since expanded to include staffing and management for shelter services, safety patrol, janitorial services, transportation, and more.
Experience and Education Required
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years case management experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Experience and Education Preferred
- Experience working with families experiencing homelessness is preferred.
- Familiarity with HMIS and city/state contract compliance desirable.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

- Must be able to pass a background check for work with vulnerable populations.
