About The Role
The Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor for our Rooms department plays a key leadership role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. This hourly, part-time position oversees weekend housekeeping operations, ensuring that rooms and public areas meet our quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, can effectively lead and motivate a team, and communicates clearly in English while coordinating daily tasks and responding to guest needs.
What You'll Do
- Supervise weekend housekeeping operations for the Rooms department, ensuring all rooms and common areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards
- Assign, prioritize, and follow up on daily room and area cleaning tasks for housekeeping staff
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to verify quality, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols
- Provide hands-on support with cleaning and room turnovers during peak times or as needed
- Lead, coach, and support housekeeping team members to achieve performance and service goals
- Communicate clearly with staff and management regarding room status, maintenance issues, and staffing needs
- Ensure proper use and care of housekeeping equipment, supplies, and cleaning chemicals
- Monitor inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping
- Promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping or related hospitality experience preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a small team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable working weekends and a part-time, hourly schedule
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment
