Registered Nurse - ED
This is a MID SHIFT role and will offer differential after 7pm
Valleywise Health, a Level One Trauma Center, is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department (ED) Nurse to join our fast-paced team. As an ED Nurse, you will provide immediate, high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. You will be responsible for rapid assessments, critical interventions, and stabilization, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving treatment in a high-pressure environment.
Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
- Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
- In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice:
- Must have ACLS and PALS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain ATCN or TNCC within twelve (12) months and ENPC within twelve (12) months.
- Must obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Pediatric Certified Emergency Nurse (PCEN), or Trauma Certified Emergency Nurse (TCRN) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
