Position Overview:
The Clinical Operations Registered Nurse at the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of our Medical Oncology, Infusion Oncology, and Radiation Oncology departments. This exempt position is focused on optimizing clinical workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting quality improvement initiatives that directly impact patient care and operational efficiency.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $34.00/hour. Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range starts from $34.00/hour.

· Compensation: Commensurate upon education & experience - range is $34/hour or more (depending on education & experience). Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage daily operations across Medical Oncology, Infusion Oncology, and Radiation Oncology.
· Streamline workflows to support seamless clinical operations.
· Ensure adherence to organizational protocols, policies, and regulations.
· Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to resolve compliance concerns.
· Lead and support quality improvement initiatives.
· Document processes and maintain operational and compliance records.
· Generate reports on operational KPIs.
· Provide leadership and guidance on best practices.
· Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols; participate in drills and training.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or 10+ years of Oncology Nursing and/or Leadership experience.
· Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
· At least 3 years of acute care clinical nursing experience required.
· Preferred: experience leading performance improvement teams, meeting Joint Commission standards, project management, or department management.
Required Registration/License/Certification:
· Valid NC RN license.
· American Heart Association BLS at hire.
· ONS and ONC certification within 1 year of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Deep knowledge of oncology operations and regulatory standards.
· Strong quality improvement and evidence-based practice skills.
· Excellent documentation, analytical, and reporting abilities.
· Effective leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
· Patient-centered approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Physical Demands:
· Frequent movement within the facility; standing, walking, light lifting.
· Manual dexterity for typing and handling documents.
· Clear vision and hearing for accurate communication and documentation.
Working Conditions:
· Work across offices, clinical units, and conference spaces in the Cancer Center.
· Team-based setting with healthcare professionals and support staff.
· Flexible hours to meet operational demands, including emergency drills and unexpected events.
· Exposure to emotionally intense situations requiring resilience.
· Strict adherence to safety and emergency protocols.
