Position Overview:
The Scheduling Representative is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments across departments. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational flow and delivering excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range starts from $16.85 /hour.

- Compensation is commensurate upon education & experience - range is $16.85 /hour or more (depending on education & experience). Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols.

Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and staff.

Confirm appointment details and communicate preparation instructions to patients.

Assist with intake procedures, registration, and updating patient information as needed.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure scheduling accuracy.

Operate office equipment including phone systems, scanners, and fax machines.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA and compliance standards.

Familiarity with admissions, registration, and scheduling processes.

Strong communication skills using positive verbal and non-verbal techniques.

Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently per shift lifts, pushes, and pulls, up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Prolonged, extensive or continuous sitting/standing/walking > 7 hours per day
- Frequently per hour: bends; squats; kneels; twists; turns; and reaches.
- Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
- Handles emergency or crises
- Subject to irregular hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
Working Conditions:
- Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
- Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment; odorous chemicals and specimens; and, unpleasant elements (accident, injury, slippery surfaces uneven surfaces), etc.
