Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Operations
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor / Facilities Manager
Function
Responsible for executing plant engineering and maintenance functions related to the physical infrastructure of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise assigned personnel in accordance with company policies.
Manage maintenance of physical assets including building infrastructure and capital equipment.
Oversee utilities management; recommend updates to equipment and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
Coordinate or contract upkeep of the facility's grounds.
Administer hazardous waste program.
Ensure compliance with federal and state hazardous waste and occupational safety regulations.
Implement and manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) to maintain compliance with federal/state laws and standards such as OSHA, AS9100, and ISO 14000.
Develop, maintain, and disseminate annual/quarterly inspection calendars.
Maintain required logs, checklists, and inspection documentation.
Conduct or coordinate pre-audits and inspections.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment and compliance.
Perform plant engineering to support production, including modifications and customizations to equipment.
Specify, hire, and supervise external contractors for construction or repair tasks; assess deliverables for quality and compliance.
Manage the maintenance budget.
Perform additional duties as required.
Physical Requirements
Regular standing, handling tools/equipment, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, climbing, or balancing.
Occasional lifting of up to 45 pounds.
Visual requirements include near and far vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (7+ years).
Technical expertise in:
HVAC and boiler systems
Welding
Electrical and plumbing systems
Maintenance of elevators and forklifts
ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
Proficiency in general computer usage; experience with MRP systems preferred.
