Cass Health is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and supporting various accounting tasks across departments. While this role does not manage payroll, it will serve as a backup to payroll functions when necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Payroll and/or accounting experience in a business environment
- High attention to detail
Essential Job Functions:
- Process accounts payable weekly, ensuring proper authorization and coding
- Work with managers and vendors to verify invoice accuracy and payment status
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, employees, department managers, and auditors in a timely and professional manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned
