About The Role

As a Field Worker in our Construction department, you will support day-to-day operations on active job sites, assisting with general labor, site preparation, cleanup, and basic equipment handling. This hourly, full-time position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring attention to detail, consistent adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew. You will contribute directly to the successful and timely completion of construction projects while maintaining a safe and organized work environment in alignment with OSHA and company safety policies.

What You'll Do

Perform general construction labor tasks including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal
Assist skilled trades and supervisors with basic tasks as directed on the job site
Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around the work area
Help set up and break down job sites, including barricades, signage, and safety equipment
Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines
Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately to the site supervisor
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift
Support site measurements, basic layout, and marking tasks as instructed
Follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and project managers, and communicate effectively with team members
Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any defects or issues
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to different job sites as needed

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in construction, general labor, or a related field
Basic understanding of construction site practices, tools, and equipment
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and a strong commitment to safety compliance
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials (often 50+ lbs) for extended periods
Comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various outdoor weather conditions, as required
Reliable transportation to and from job sites and ability to work full-time, hourly shifts as scheduled
Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work well as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire
