About The Role
As a Field Worker in our Construction department, you will support day-to-day operations on active job sites, assisting with general labor, site preparation, cleanup, and basic equipment handling. This hourly, full-time position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring attention to detail, consistent adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew. You will contribute directly to the successful and timely completion of construction projects while maintaining a safe and organized work environment in alignment with OSHA and company safety policies.
What You'll Do
- Perform general construction labor tasks including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal
- Assist skilled trades and supervisors with basic tasks as directed on the job site
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely around the work area
- Help set up and break down job sites, including barricades, signage, and safety equipment
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision and in accordance with safety guidelines
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately to the site supervisor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift
- Support site measurements, basic layout, and marking tasks as instructed
- Follow instructions from supervisors, foremen, and project managers, and communicate effectively with team members
- Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any defects or issues
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to different job sites as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in construction, general labor, or a related field
- Basic understanding of construction site practices, tools, and equipment
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and a strong commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials (often 50+ lbs) for extended periods
- Comfort working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various outdoor weather conditions, as required
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites and ability to work full-time, hourly shifts as scheduled
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work well as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire
The pay range for this role is:20.93 - 29.87 USD per hour(US)
