POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Occupational Therapy Assistant is a qualified professional who provides quality patient care under the direction of an evaluating Occupational Therapist and under the general supervision from the therapy supervisor. The Occupational Therapy Assistant has the responsibility of direct patient care rendering occupational therapy treatments according to an outlined plan of care and goals, assists in coordinating assigned patient care loads, and may assist with supervision of non-professional staff.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- License/Registration/Certification: Indiana Licensure and current CPR certification.
- A basic understanding of federal and state regulations regarding billing, compliance, documentation, and supervision of support staff as they relate to the practice of relevant discipline.
