Job Summary
The individual will complete psychosocial assessments, individual, and group psychotherapy. Provides supervision to assigned clinical personnel in the Outpatient Behavioral Health department. The individual will offer family support and education and participate in community outreach activities. The Lead Psychotherapist reports to the Program Manager.
Essential Functions
- Provides managerial support in conjunction department leaders by providing supervision, training, and evaluation to clinical, direct support, and clerical personnel as assigned.
- Provide case supervision to assigned staff members assuring medical record compliance.
- Responsible for completing documentation review to assure payer and regulatory compliance.
- Respond in a timely and accurate manner to client complaints and grievances.
- Attends, participates in, and facilitates multi-disciplinary treatment team and staff meetings as scheduled.
- Data collection and reporting as assigned.
- Responsible for the support and the delivery of policies and procedures.
- Provides individual psychotherapy and psychoeducational group therapy for patients in an outpatient setting for an assigned caseload.
- Conducts biopsychosocial assessments as well as evidence-based tools as required for information gathering and diagnosis.
- Displays theoretical knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Provide clinically appropriate evidenced-based treatment resulting from mental health assessments and treatment plans.
- Knows the symptoms of abuse and identifies victims to provide appropriate counsel and/or referrals.
- Completes all required clinical documentation as per hospital policy.
- Accurately communicates level of functioning, symptoms and medication education to patients.
- Facilities safe discharge of patients including all regulatory documentation.
- Create individualized, patient centered, treatment plans (IRP) in conjunction with the patient, family members and or community partners.
- Documents all interactions with patients in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Provides crisis and behavioral interventions as required.
- Participate in staff development opportunities to enhance professional growth, especially to maintain license, certification, or identified program performance skills.

Minimum Education/Certifications
master’s degree in social work
LCSW pending or achieved
Minimum Work Experience
3 years’ experience in behavioral health including internship.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday; some telehealth services may need to be provided.

The salary/hourly rate range for this position is $48.00/hr
