Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and growth-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our freight forwarding and warehouse operations in the greater Phoenix, AZ market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the station's daily operations, driving customer growth, and ensuring excellent customer service across domestic, international and warehouse platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building processes, and is highly comfortable working within warehouse systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations & Warehousing Management
- Oversee all freight forwarding activities, including air, ocean, and ground transportation as well as warehouse and distribution
- Oversee daily warehouse and fulfillment operations (receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping)
- Manage staffing levels and schedules to meet operational demands
- Ensure efficient and effective service center operations for freight forwarding services
- Support management of customer records in WMS, especially for high-volume accounts
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse associates
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, and inventory accuracy
- Troubleshoot operational and system-related issues
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to guarantee service reliability
- Analyze operating results relative to established objectives
- Ensure high standards of customer service through a process-oriented approach
- Act as a liaison between the company and key clients in the greater Phoenix market
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of freight forwarding & warehousing professionals
- Drive employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment
- Enforce organizational safety guidelines and ensure compliance with industry regulations including NVOCC, DOT, CTPAT and OSHA
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Phoenix market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Partner with leadership to continuously improve processes and system utilization
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with WMS platforms and inventory systems
- Tech-comfortable; able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- $60,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)
