Purchasing Specialist
Under general supervision, this position supports the healthcare organization’s non-clinical purchasing activities. This position will focus on non-clinical purchasing, managing the travel program, and the procurement card (P-Card) program with a strong emphasis on compliance, cost-effectiveness, and stakeholder service.
Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Two years of experience with travel and procurement card programs required.
- Purchasing procedure experience preferred as it relates to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have excellent communication, organizing, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Requires the ability to work independently with limited guidance, and to negotiate and work with professionals.
- Requires a working knowledge of contract analysis and reporting.
- Must have strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
Compensation details: 24-35.4 Hourly Wage
