The right candidate will
Contact vendors for quotes, follow-ups, acknowledgements, status updatesInventory management. Manage Min, Max, and ROP fields in GSSCoordinate with requestors regarding deviations and sourced substitution to ensure they meet form, fit and functionAssures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the companyFollows up on open and past due orders, maintains and manages order acknowledgements, assists in accounts payable discrepanciesCreates demand in ordering system, updates routers, order forms, data entrySources parts by Mfg #, parts #, drawing/blueprints and/or reverse engineers custom made parts to specifications.
What you’ll need:
Proven experience as inventory specialist or similar roleProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)Reading/Writing skills (literacy) as requiredStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsBasic math skillsMust be organizedPrioritize own tasksConsistent time managementFollows all purchasing guidelines manualFamiliar with Electronic requisitions approval process, electronic filing, scanningMust be able to read and understand blueprints and bills of materialsWhat we offer
