Job Description:
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director is responsible for development and implementation of long and short-range goals, objectives, and tactics consistent with the strategic plan. The Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership functions of the service line to continually improve the quality and efficiency of the service line, transform the service line culture, and ensure programmatic growth while meeting the goals of the healthcare system.
The Executive Director provides analysis of the system service line financials, operational benchmarks, and programmatic initiatives and develops and leads the strategic planning process to achieve desired results. Responsible for the development of strong physician, staff, and leadership relationships to ensure efficient and effective communication to maintain system operations promoting system collaboration and service line growth. Reviews and adheres to all State, Federal and local laws as well as Regulatory Standards as they relate to the ethical and legal compliance procedures. Responsibilities include leadership functions of the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience required.
- 5-10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience with demonstrated success in a service line or healthcare operations.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives and achieve measurable results.
- Proven leadership capability in planning, organizing and developing high performing teams.
- Deep understanding of healthcare operations and how clinical, financial, and administrative processes intersect.
- Experience with project management methodologies and large scale implementation efforts.
- Proficiency in healthcare information systems, Epic preferred and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management practices.
- Ability and skill in leadership, planning, organizing and supervision of staff.
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving growth in outpatient services.
