Medical Assistant
Job Summary
Responsible for the delivery of patient care as directed by the clinic provider. The medical assistant works closely with the clinic patient care manager, other professional staff, clerical staff, ancillary department members, visitors and families.
Responsible for basic nursing-related and medical office tasks of average difficulty.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
- Preferred
- One or more years of experience as a medical assistant
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Preferred
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
