The Logistics Specialist plays a vital role in the seamless flow of medical supplies, equipment, lab specimens, linens, and mail across the organization. With a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness, this position ensures all items are received, stored, and distributed efficiently to meet critical operational needs. The role is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, upholding high standards of workplace and vehicle cleanliness, and supporting exceptional customer service across departments. Through close collaboration with staff at all levels, the Logistics Specialist helps ensure supply chain operations consistently meet and exceed expectations.
Hourly Pay Rate: $16.22 - $23.92
Qualifications
Education:
- Prefer High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Prefer at least one (1) year of experience in a warehouse and distribution environment that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prefer experience working in a hospital setting and being exposed to JCAHO or DNV requirements.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must have and maintain a Valid Arizona Class "D" driver's license.
- Forklift certification preferred or capable of being trained on operating forklifts.
- Ambulatory Clinics: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must safely operate a motor vehicle and efficiently follow a route to ensure timely delivery.
- Must be customer service oriented and able to work with others, adhere to set schedules, and follow designated routes.
- Must have the ability to use computers and handheld devices, as well as to read maps and locate addresses.
- Some computer skills are required (basic Microsoft Word and Excel).
- This position requires knowledge of associated tasks relating to general warehousing duties (receiving, storage, distribution), safe lifting and driving habits, mail receipt, sorting, metering, and delivery.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
