Advanced Clinical Nurse – Ambulatory Care
As an Advanced Clinical Nurse at Valleywise Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic and diverse healthcare environment. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Executive DON, you’ll collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, skilled, and age-appropriate care to patients across the continuum.
In this role, you will:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and care.

Serve as a patient advocate and educator, empowering individuals and families to make informed health decisions.

Support and guide ancillary staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in alignment with Valleywise Health standards.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and team-building activities that enhance patient outcomes and workplace culture.

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
Qualifications
Education:
Experience:

Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health, must have at least one year of Valleywise Health experience as an RN and be in good standing.
Certification/Licensure:
-
Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.

Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.

Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.

In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice:
- PreOp/PACU (Other than Peoria): Must obtain ACLS and PALS within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer. Must obtain TCAR and PCAR within ninety (90) days of hire or transfer.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.

Bilingual is preferred.

Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.

Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
