JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Analyst is accountable to support quality, patient safety, peer review and patient experience activities as defined by the organization. This position reports to the Director of Quality. The Quality Analyst is expected to abstract data from a variety of computer systems, use a variety of data collection tools, be able to evaluate accuracy of data and be able to work within teams of employees and physicians to improve clinical outcomes. The Quality Analyst must also be able to use knowledge and assist in meeting regulatory standards and assure the organization’s success. The Quality Analyst must be flexible in work habits to meet peak demands while still maintaining consistency in work processes and data collection. The Quality Analyst will be responsible for presenting data and quality information in all forms of methods so teams of people can interpret the information and act on it accurately.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in a health related field is preferred, or accomplished within 4 years of accepting the position. A minimum of two years in a health related field is required or ability to demonstrate competent skills related to the position. Demonstrable skills in quality improvement, data management and process improvement is also preferred. Certification in quality will be achieved within 4 years such as CPHQ, CHCQM, etc.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

Have workable knowledge of clinical practices; evidence based practice, work flow, and quality processes. Must be able to understand and work with connectivity between quality, peer review, patient safety, patient experience and regulations. Must be self-motivated to learn and research literature. Must be able to use competently a variety of data systems, EMR’s, computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software. Must be able to accurately assess data and compile data in a manner that is easily understood by various work teams. Must be able to work within a variety of teams.
