JOB SUMMARY
-
For hospital, clinic and hospital owned properties:
-
Performs all work in strict conformity to NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
-
Performs work in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical/HVAC systems and equipment.
-
Performs work as a “Maintenance Mechanic”.
-
Repairs or installs (only under a Wyoming Master Electrician’s authority and direct supervision from a Wyoming Journeyman Electrician) wiring for electrical transformers, receptacles, switches, alarms, public address systems and various other electrical equipment and other devices.

Studies and understands blueprints and diagrams to ascertain layout, location and specification of items to be installed, repaired or serviced.

Becomes proficient in all aspects of the building(s) electrical distribution system(s).

Performs related mechanical work in disassembling items being worked upon.

Has, or can obtain, a valid Wyoming State Electrician’s Apprentice license.

Responsible for repairs, work orders and preventative maintenance of the facilities.

Assists other hospital departments with miscellaneous tasks requiring physical strength or knowledge common to the position.

Assists Maintenance personnel with their job duties when required or as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
-
Valid Wyoming State Apprentice Electrician’s license, having completed or actively attending the requisite associated 4-year education.

One year experience in electrical installation, repair or maintenance is preferred.

Job Knowledge and Skills:
-
Be able to read, interpret, and understand both oral and written instructions.
-
Have the ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift.
-
Have basic computer knowledge.
-
Be able to withstand varying weather conditions and have a general knowledge of the operation and repair of buildings and associated equipment.
-
Possess a valid Wyoming driver’s license.
