Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist to join the team at the Douglas Medical Center in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. About the department: Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.
A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating physical therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended outcomes.
- Identifies patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies
- Establishes an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening
- Develops and implements treatment plans that lead to optimal patient outcomes
- Communicates effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others
- Writes clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Experience: New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred
- Skills: Problem-solving, planning and time-management, interpersonal communication, listening skills, basic computer skills, ability to work independently
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; Current State of Missouri Physical Therapist License
- Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs.
The position is: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
