Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join the team in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.
A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy treatments utilizing appropriate equipment, supplies, and procedures.
- Analyze patients' needs to help design care
- Follow plan-of-care established by therapists
- Instruct patients / caregivers on home plans
- Document relevant and appropriate information for care planning
Job Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an AOTA-approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program or other certification program recognized by the State Board of Healing Arts
- Experience: New grads welcome! 1 year of experience preferred
- Skills: Customer service, time-management, problem-solving, communication
- Licensure/Certification: Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
- Physical: Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance; carry up to 35 lbs.
The position is PRN with variable hours - 4 hours every 2 weeks.
