Position Summary:
This position exudes the Kootenai Health Way through providing superior customer service in interactions with all customers. Meets excellence standards by providing customers with consistent, high quality beverages and food products. Displays a positive attitude and willingness to serve others.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares food and beverages as requested by customer, including customizations such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substitution of ingredients
- Supports customer throughput by creating fast and efficient retail transactions
- Provides high quality products and service for all customers by adhering to food or drink recipes and following all handling guidelines including health, safety and sanitation
- Ensures appearance of work environment is maintained in a clean and orderly manner
- Engages with customers through pleasant, friendly and clear communication
- Anticipates customer needs by continuously evaluating the surrounding environment and customer mannerisms, and responding to customer needs
- Operates point of sale system and cash handling for retail transactions with guests
- Contributes to a positive team environment through reinforcing successful performance and providing supportive coaching
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Idaho Food Handlers Card or must obtain within 90 days of hire
- Previous barista experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills required
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Typical equipment used in an office job
