Certified Surgical Technologist II
Position Summary:
Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment
- Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room
- Actively involved in process improvement
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Minimum 1 year experience in an operating room required
- Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required
- Competent in two specialty areas required
- BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
