JOB SUMMARY
-
The Manager-Surgical Services-Ambulatory is responsible to Directors for providing leadership and management of assigned unit(s)/department(s). Supervises and/or coordinates the functions related to business transactions, medical records management, clinical services, compliance, safety and customer service. Works collaboratively system-wide with administrative and medical staff as needed. Provides direction and is a resource to meet the operational needs of assigned areas of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing plus one (1) year supervisory/management experience (may include charge, AHN, HN, Clinic Manager, Administrative Supervisor, etc.) - OR - Associate Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in related field plus two (2) years supervisory/management experience at St. Luke's (may include charge, AHN, HN, Administrative Supervisor, Clinic Manager, etc.).

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have current license in Wisconsin and Minnesota to practice as Registered Nurse. BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross only if issued prior to March 1, 2015, or Military Training Network.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's Degree or its equivalent in a related field, or active enrollment in Master's program with agreed upon completion date is strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years previous clinical/work experience in a healthcare facility.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
