Role Overview:
We are seeking a bold, creative, and results-driven Social Media Manager to build and grow the brand presence of the Playboy Club and other selected adult digital products across multiple regions. This is a hands-on role for someone eager to take the lead by developing and executing impactful social media strategies that drive visibility, engagement, and profitability growth in the adult lifestyle and entertainment space.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction & Brand Positioning
o Develop and execute a global, channel-agnostic social media strategy aligned with each brand’s voice, mission, and growth objectives.
o Refine and express brand positioning with a tone that resonates authentically across mainstream and niche audiences — including web3-native communities.
o Plan and deliver original, buzz-worthy campaigns across all major platforms (e.g., Meta-owned platforms, X/Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, Telegram). Cultivates web3 presence.
o Incorporate storytelling mechanics that work well with both web2 and web3 environments (e.g. token drops, gated content, fan incentives).
o Comfortably implementing AI-backed solutions.
- Content Planning & Editorial Calendar
o Research and implement trend-informed content plans, with formats spanning short-form video, visual carousels, memes, and live Q&As.
o Schedule and adapt content in response to real-time platform shifts or viral opportunities.
- Content Creation & Publishing
o Write sharp, bold copy and coordinate the creation of visuals and motion content (using also AI-generated assets).
o Tailor content to suit each platform’s tone and technical nuances.
o Build and nurture highly engaged fan and follower bases.
o Respond to comments, direct messages, and fan feedback with brand-appropriate tone and responsiveness.
- Web3 Exploration & Integration
o Collaborate on experimental campaigns that leverage NFTs, creator tokens, or DAO participation.
o Monitor web3 trends and identify innovative ways to activate audiences via on-chain tools, social dApps, and loyalty layers.
- Collaborations & Influencer Outreach
o Identify creators, moderators, and cultural gatekeepers — from both traditional and web3 spheres — to launch partnerships and cross-promotions.
- Analytics & Performance Optimization
o Track content and campaign performance through dashboards, social listening tools, and on-chain analytics (where applicable).
o Use data to iterate and scale what's working — across both engagement and conversion metrics.
- Cross-functional & Global Collaboration
o Align closely with product, analytics, sales, and regional teams to translate strategic goals into digital momentum.
o Ensure content supports broader growth initiatives.
- Innovation & Trend Awareness
o Stay ahead of social media trends, platform algorithm shifts, and emerging web3 behaviors.
o Propose and prototype innovative content ideas that drive organic growth and virality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing content on social media in complex organizations, especially in e-commerce, tech, or streaming industries. Hands-on expertise in platforms like Reddit, TikTok, and X is essential.
- Demonstrated impact on profitability increase.
- Knowledge of current social media trends.
- Experience or deep curiosity about web3 ecosystems (blockchains, NFTs, tokens, DAOs).
- A "growth hacker" mindset with a focus on results and innovation.
- Proven ability to manage social media activities across multiple products and regions.
- A professional track record with recognizable, market-leading products.
- Exceptional strategic thinking coupled with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and campaign optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Native English.
- Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Experience with AI-generated visuals and campaign management.
- Prior exposure to adult content or similar regulated industries is a strong plus.
