About the role
- The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for supporting Anza's business-to-business (B2B) go-to-the market strategy. This includes analyzing, designing, implementing, and optimizing B2B integration solutions. Integrations will include connectivity to Lender and Servicer proprietary platforms, Product and Pricing Engines (PPEs), Point of Sale Origination Tools (POS), Loan Origination Platforms (LOS), Servicing Bureaus, along with other third-party tools. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring that mission critical technology is implemented and will have a direct impact on the growth and success of our business. This role will be responsible for shaping the future of our product ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration across platforms, technologies, and third-party partnerships. The ideal candidate will combine deep product expertise, technical fluency, and business acumen to lead cross-functional initiatives that grow revenue, improve customer experience, and strengthen our competitive position.
What you"ll do
- Strategy and Vision: Establish the strategy and vision for implementing new B2B partnerships. Leading the integration strategy for internal systems, product platforms, third-party partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Product Roadmap: Partner with business sponsors and key stakeholders (Technology Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success) to establish a multi-year product roadmap that defines the prioritization of B2B integrations and services defining integration requirements and delivering scalable solutions. Identify opportunities for system improvements, and new market entry via integration.
- Platform Knowledge: Develop a keen awareness and a detailed understanding of mortgage lending platforms, becoming recognized as the B2B platform expert for our customers. Advocate for the customer by ensuring product integrations are intuitive, high-value, and minimize friction.
- Integration Analysis: Analyze existing mortgage lending platforms and business processes to identify integration needs and best practices. Build roadmaps that prioritize features, integrations, and system improvements to maximize value delivery. During due diligence and post-acquisition integration, ensuring technology and product fit.
- Project Leadership: Define and gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders on project work. Coordinate and communicate project status with key stakeholders across the organization. Lead backlog refinement sessions, break down epics into actionable stories, and support team estimation to optimize sprint planning. Partner with the tech teams to prioritize and groom the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the B2B roadmap and sprint goals.
- Business Process Modeling: Facilitate workshops to map, document and optimize end-to-end mortgage insurance processes; capture process flows and handoffs to inform integration requirements and drive operational efficiency.
- Solution Design: Partner with our Technology Team as the voice of the customer to design and implement integration solutions that optimize data quality, speed, and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful integration and the adoption of systems across multiple departments; communicate and coordinate resolution of issues related to B2B projects.
- User Story Creation: Develop and refine detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows in collaboration with stakeholders; ensure clear, prioritized Agile backlogs that align with business objectives.
- Testing: Support all B2B development testing requirements, establishing test plans and end-user test cases. Manage end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT), leveraging test automation processes where feasible. Oversee and actively participate in UAT to ensure that all business requirements are met.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation of all integration processes and solutions; maintain logs documenting all B2B changes.
- Reporting: Develop KPIs to measure integration success, system adoption, and product performance and develop other Management Reporting to report on the overall health of the B2B platform.
- Business Relationships: Identify, develop, and cultivate third-party partner relationships to accelerate implementations and identify opportunities for expanded relationships.
- Leadership: Mentor product and integration team members, fostering a high-performance, innovation-driven culture.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in integration technologies; actively participate in industry related integration groups (MISMO, MBA, etc.) and identify opportunities for integration enhancements.
- Owner Mentality: Identify opportunities to continuously improve the product offering and our service levels, in the effort of better serving our customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mortgage insurance integration or similar roles.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or technology integration roles.
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Proven track record of developing and scaling complex product ecosystems or platform businesses.
- Strong understanding of software development, APIs, cloud platforms, and systems integration.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Minimum skills
- This role requires someone who is technologically savvy, meticulous, business process-focused and capable of ensuring high-quality, high-volume transaction management.
- The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, expert proficiency in the tools and technologies utilized in modern software integrations (e.g., APIs, middleware, SQL, Python) and has a Customer-Centric Mindset.
- Knowledge of mortgage insurance products and servicing.
- Thorough knowledge of MISMO.
- Expertise in Loan Origination Systems, Product and Pricing Engines, and Servicing Platforms (Encompass, Empower, Optimal Blue, MSP, LoanServ, etc).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage insurance industry (originations, servicing, and claims).
