Medical Receptionist
Job Description
Our Allergy Group is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the front office operations, and ensuring the smooth running of the medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments, maintain the appointment calendar, and handle rescheduling and cancellations
- Collect and process patient registration forms, insurance information, and other necessary documentation
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Handle incoming phone calls, answer inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of office supplies
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure seamless patient flow and communication
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical record software
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
