About the role
- We are seeking a skilled and motivated SeniorWordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites, ensuring functionality, performance, and user experience. You'll work closely with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver exceptional web solutions tailored to client needs.
This role is to be based in Malta.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Custom Development: Create custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Website Maintenance: Regularly update, troubleshoot, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize websites for speed, responsiveness, and SEO compliance.
- Integration: Implement third-party tools and APIs into WordPress sites.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design wireframes into functional web pages.
- Testing & Debugging: Conduct quality assurance testing and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Security: Ensure websites are secure, implementing best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Understanding of graphic design tools like Figma.
- Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core.
- Experience with custom themes and plugin development.
- Familiarity with WordPress REST API and Gutenberg blocks.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of hosting environments and server management.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
