Sensory Screening Specialist

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will provide hearing and vision screening services to children ages 1–5 throughout the designated service area. You will engage children and families, conduct screenings, explain results, provide referrals, and follow up to help families access needed services.
You will also:
- Conduct hearing and vision screenings using appropriate screening tools.
- Educate families on screening results, developmental milestones, and next steps.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, referrals, and follow-up.
- Participate in community outreach and collaborate with community partners and providers.
- Maintain required certifications, training, and professional development.
- Travel throughout the service area for screenings, outreach, and meetings.
- Follow all CPLC, program, contractual, and funder requirements.
WHO YOU ARE?
You are patient, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working with young children and diverse families. You can adapt when a three-year-old decides that participating in a vision screening is apparently a personal attack. You communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and can work independently while collaborating with your team.
