Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team in Hickory County — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.
Position Details
- Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
- Work Shift: Days
- Hours: 9am-9pm, 80 hours every 2 weeks
What Your Day Looks Like: In this role, you will provide critical, pre-hospital care to patients experiencing acute trauma, illnesses, or medical emergencies.
As a Paramedic, you will be
- Preparing and maintaining ambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies
- Assessing and determining scene safety, and/or utilizing community/organizational resources to assure scene safety
- Initiating advanced life support and making an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions
- Transporting patients, utilizing other methods of transportation, or relinquishing patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control
- Documenting a complete assessment on each patient examined, using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an approved EMT-P training course; education and training with 12 lead EKG, basic Arrhythmia, and NRP is preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMS or in an emergency department setting
- Licensure/Certification: Active Missouri EMT-P license certification and a current Class E Missouri Driver's License
- Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, lifting more than 100 pounds with and without assistance, endurance for physical activity throughout 12-hour shifts
