The Director of Clinical Analytics will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the clinical analytics strategy at Beacon Health System. This individual will drive the design, development, and deployment of data-driven solutions that improve clinical outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting to the Chief Information/Digital Officer, the Director will collaborate across clinical, IT, data management, and operational teams to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and advance Beacon's commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the Clinical Analytics Function: Provide vision and direction for the Clinical Analytics department, ensuring alignment with Beacon Health System's strategic objectives.
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive clinical analytics strategy to support evidence-based clinical decisions, process improvements, and value-based care initiatives.
- Executive Collaboration: Partner with clinical, IT, business, and operations leaders to integrate data insights into organizational decision-making, driving key priorities across departments.
- Innovate and Drive Change: Lead the adoption of advanced data analytics, AI/ML technologies, and predictive models to optimize clinical workflows, outcomes, and patient care initiatives.
- Data-Driven Culture: Promote and institutionalize a culture of data-driven decision-making across all clinical and operational teams, fostering alignment between data insights and organizational goals.
Analytics & Insights Delivery:
- Advanced Analytics Leadership: Oversee the development of predictive models, advanced analytics, and AI solutions to optimize clinical performance, improve patient outcomes, and drive operational excellence.
- Actionable Insights: Guide the translation of complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for clinical, operational, and executive leadership teams.
- Trend Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Establish systems for monitoring clinical data trends to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, analysts, and clinical professionals to develop user-friendly reporting, dashboarding, and data solutions tailored to business needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with clinical leaders, department heads, and key stakeholders to ensure analytics solutions address the needs of end-users and drive operational impact.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Act as a subject matter expert for clinical data analytics, mentoring team members and sharing expertise with IT and other departments on data strategy and best practices.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee the development and deployment of analytics solutions that meet healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and other applicable standards.
- Risk Management: Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure analytics tools and data solutions maintain data privacy and security standards across all platforms.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year if required.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst, Certified Analytics Professional) preferred.
- 5-10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience with enterprise-scale data architectures, cloud infrastructure, and analytics platforms.
- Extensive experience working with healthcare technologies, including Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), Oracle Health Data Intelligence (formerly HealtheIntent), and cloud-based data integration strategies.
Knowledge & Skills
- Expert-level proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics platforms (e.g., R, Python).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a track record of influencing decision-makers at all levels of an organization.
- Deep understanding of healthcare data standards, regulations, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FHIR, HL7).
- Proven experience in deploying clinical data solutions and analytics platforms at scale.
- Strong background in working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other clinical systems to drive actionable insights.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with the flexibility to work remotely as needed.
