Senior Software Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining innovative software applications and products that meet our customers' evolving needs. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from architecting scalable solutions to deploying production-ready code. As a full-stack engineer, you will develop all components of software including user interfaces, APIs, and server-side applications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, demonstrating empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
- Solve complex technical problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (such as Agile), and cloud technologies
- Assess software application and service requirements, and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration methods, and deployment strategies
- Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of applications
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, architects, and other engineers to deliver cohesive solutions
- Define and implement comprehensive software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes aligned with organizational vision, industry regulations, and market best practices
- Continuously improve application performance and optimize code by implementing new technologies and methodologies to maximize development efficiency
- Apply programming best practices including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD)
- Support and implement robust security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization techniques
- Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces that provide exceptional user experiences
- Develop and maintain back-end applications including RESTful APIs and microservices using server-side technologies
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to enhance solutions, while actively monitoring and participating in solutions for new stack layers in collaboration with industry partners
Required Qualifications
- Experience Level: 6+ years in IT with 4+ years in software development
- Technical Expertise: Practical experience in 2 coding languages or advanced proficiency in 1 language

Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture (design, development, and deployment)
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud deployment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Demonstrated expertise in containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization
- Familiarity with code quality tools such as SonarQube
- Ability to analyze non-functional and functional requirements with stakeholders and incorporate design principles in CI/CD pipelines for scalability and resiliency
- Strong CI/CD architecture skills: capability to implement and design CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Tekton, Cloud Build, Cloud Run, and ArgoCD
- Ability to provide recommendations and help build best practices for large, scalable, and resilient pipelines used across multiple applications
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
