SAP MM Senior Functional Consultant
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Senior Functional Consultant to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting the SAP Materials Management (MM) module, including Procurement, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Material Valuation. You will work collaboratively across multiple SAP modules and business functions to deliver robust supply chain and procurement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and provide ongoing support for SAP MM module functionalities including Procurement, Inventory Management, Vendor Management, and Material Valuation
- Analyze and map business requirements to SAP MM functionalities, translating complex business needs into system solutions
- Develop and maintain material master data, purchase orders, and goods receipt processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance (FI) and Sales & Distribution (SD) to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules
- Design and execute comprehensive testing scenarios including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and implementable system solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in procurement and inventory transactions with minimal business disruption
- Partner with business users, procurement teams, and IT stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements
- Participate in SAP upgrade projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support business stakeholders in optimizing supply chain and procurement performance
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the organization
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in IT with 8+ years in development or functional implementation roles
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in at least 2 coding languages or advanced practical experience in 1 programming language
- SAP Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM Module is MANDATORY
- Implementation Experience: Hands-on experience in at least two end-to-end SAP implementations
- Core SAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionality
- Demonstrated ability in problem analysis, resolution, and productivity improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration abilities
- Ability to meet timelines and deliver high-quality work consistently
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance, Simple Finance, or Smart Financials modules
- Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori user interface and applications
- Knowledge of Intercompany transactions and processes
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and Agile project management practices
- Experience in supply chain optimization and process improvement initiatives
- Certification in SAP MM or related modules
