Laboratory AssistantThe Laboratory Assistant is directly responsible to the Laboratory Manager to recognize abnormal vs. normal results within the scope of responsibility; instruct non-laboratory personnel on methods of specimen collection; obtain patient specimens by proper methods; bring problems with the above to the attention of the appropriate manger; maintain stock of supplies and reagents. In addition to phlebotomy responsibilities, Laboratory Assistants are restricted to performing only CLIA-waived testing in the laboratory.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
• Phlebotomist, certification preferred
• At least six months of experience.
