Part-Time Park Maintenance Worker - Lakefront Lodge Park Maintenance Worker – Part-Time (Non-Exempt)
Rate: $14.00 starting hourly per hour
Pay Grade: PT | Starting salary based on prior experience and education.
Location: Lake Metroparks – Lakefront Lodge, 30525 Lakeshore Blvd, Willowick, OH 44095
Position Description: Under the direction of the Outdoor Connections Manager, the part-time Park Maintenance Worker performs routine building, grounds, and general maintenance activities throughout Lake Metroparks facilities. The employee supports the safe, clean, and functional condition of public areas, buildings, and grounds. This position requires flexibility to work up to 28 hours per week including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform general landscaping activities throughout the year, including winter snow and ice control.
- Perform custodial duties before and after daily park visitation, programs, rentals, and special events.
- Assist with setup and tear-down of park programs and community events.
- Perform basic maintenance projects including painting, light electrical, and minor plumbing tasks.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in safe working condition.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in landscaping, custodial, or facility maintenance preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under agency policy.
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
