About the role
The DC Manager is responsible for managing and oversight of all warehouse inbound, outbound and distribution operations. Oversight and management for efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of all inventories accurately.
What you'll do
- Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and facility operations
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping requirements
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers and transport companies- maintaining good working relationships.
- Follow SOPs and safety guidelines
- Train and directly manage all warehouse employees
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Associate’s degree preferred
- 2+ years prior warehouse experience
- 3+ years of progressive leadership experience
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
- Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer experience is helpful
- NetSuite experience is a bonus
Physical Demands:
Standing, Walking, Reaching/Bending, Endurance, Balancing/Mobility, Manual Dexterity, Exposure to varying conditions, Repetitive Motion, Lifting to 50 lbs. consistently, safety equipment, loud noises: 8-hour work shift
