Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable F&B Supervisor for Delta Guelph Conference Centre, Guelph, ON.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The AM Food & Beverage Supervisor at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre is responsible for directing the daily breakfast and lunch operations within the restaurant. This role requires a high degree of flexibility to support occasional mid-to-PM shifts across both Restaurant and Banquet operations based on the cyclical business needs of the hotel. The supervisor ensures seamless service delivery, brand standard compliance, and efficient labor management while overseeing morning and event-specific hospitality teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operational Oversight: Direct and oversee all morning food and beverage operations, including meal production, food quality, and presentation.
- Flexibility: Maintain availability for occasional mid-to-PM shifts to support both Restaurant and Banquet operations as required.
- Administrative Duties: Responsible for staff scheduling, generating post-meeting minutes, and other departmental administrative tasks.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction trends, address issues, and implement improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with federal, provincial, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
- Brand Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Marriott brand standards across all shifts.
- Financial Management: Work within budgeted guidelines regarding food costs, liquor costs, and payroll.
- Performance Management: Monitor team performance, providing professional development, counseling, and recognition.
- Inventory: Accountable for monthly stock takes and maintaining necessary stock levels.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience using CI/TY, OPERA, and Oracle MICROS Simphony (EMC) is required.
- Payroll & Admin: Proficiency in ADP for payroll processing and labor management is preferred not mandatory.
- Communication: Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate the guest and associate experience.
- Mathematical Ability: Must possess basic computational ability for managing financial targets and reports.
- Culinary Knowledge: Ability to read recipes and physically demonstrate culinary techniques and safety practices.
- Event Displays: Ability to create, maintain, and dismantle appropriate buffet and banquet displays.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in a hotel restaurant environment is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role or hotel restaurant equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in banquet and event operations is preferred.
- 1–2 years of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, or Management is preferred.
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The individual holding this position must be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Mobility: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift trays or food items up to 30 lbs and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs.
- Environment: Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezers and hot kitchens).
- Physical Tasks: Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching to fulfill cleaning and inspection tasks.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires manual dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and office equipment.
The Pay Range for this position is $21.50- $24/hr.
