The Staff Pediatric Speech Therapist is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Staff Therapist (OT/PT/ST) performs the duties with competence in skills and professionalism treating a variety of ages including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients. The Staff Therapist (OT/PT/ST) actively participates in the growth and development of their department including quality management.
Qualifications
- Meets qualifications of a licensed PT/OT/SLP/CF-SLP
- Inpatient Therapists must be licensed in NH.
- Outpatient Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Outpatient Speech Therapists must be licensed in their state of hire and eligible for licensure in alternate state (license to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
- Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
- Outpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by regional outpatient directors.
- Inpatient Therapy: the therapist is required to work on the holiday and weekend rotation as indicated by staffing levels.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of the job are as follows:
Frequent pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount. Occasional pulling, pushing and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount (PT, PTA, OT & COTA only). Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling talking hearing and seeing. Perform maximal assist/dependent transfers as necessary.
