Fusion Health is seeking an experienced Software Architect to join our Application Development team and help shape the technical direction of our core systems. In this role, you will work on meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission to deliver technology solutions for underserved, movement-restricted populations. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, inclusive team environment, communicates clearly, and takes pride in building software that truly matters.
About Fusion Health
Since 2006, Fusion Health has delivered HealthTech solutions that proactively improve quality of life for patients managed by Public Health, Rehabilitation, and Corrections programs. Our mission is to create tools that help clinicians work efficiently within restricted or complex care settings. We have been recognized by INC as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for four consecutive years—#38 in the NY Tri-State and #8 in New Jersey—and by Deloitte on its Technology Fast 500 list.
At Fusion, culture matters. Our founder and CEO, Bryan Jakovcic (EY Entrepreneur of the Year), builds alongside HR to bring in the next “Fusionite.” Our team is among the brightest in the industry and genuinely enjoys working here—we’re proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work by Fortune. Our Woodbridge HQ is a vibrant, modern space featuring open work zones, café, gym, arcade and more; our satellite offices share the same energy. We value collaboration, openness, and the drive to make a difference. Ideal Fusionites are problem solvers, strong communicators, independent yet team-oriented—and they bring fun and energy to the work.
We offer competitive compensation, significant opportunities for growth and learning, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K. In addition, we support work-life balance with perks such as a Work From Anywhere program (up to 100 days/year), 20 PTO days to start (plus one extra day per year of service up to 30), business-casual dress, minimal red tape, and accessible leadership.
As a Software Architect, you will define and drive the technical direction of our core systems, shaping how we build, scale and evolve our platform.

- Partner with engineering, product, and leadership to align technical strategy with business goals and long-term roadmaps
- Guide teams through high impact technical tradeoffs across performance, scalability, cost, and complexity
- Lead cross-team initiatives as platform modernization, cloud migration or system re-architecture initiatives
- Establish and promote best practices, standards, and patterns that scale across teams and domains
- Mentor senior and staff engineers, helping raise the overall technical bar and architectural thinking across the organization
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and approaches that drive meaningful improvements at the organizational level
Who You Are
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership at staff level or above
- Proven experience designing and scaling complex, distributed systems across multiple teams or products
- Deep expertise in system design, architecture patterns, and modern engineering best practices
- Strong experience with backend systems, APIs, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and modern infrastructure patterns
- Proficiency in modern development stacks, including C#/.NET and frontend frameworks such as Angular
- Experience working relational databases such as SQL Server or Postgres
- Strong ability to evaluate and communicate tradeoffs across scalability, performance, cost and maintainability
- Strong track record of influencing technical direction and driving alignment across teams
