The Laundry and Facilities Support Coordinator at our Dunwoody location plays a vital role in maintaining the daily operations, cleanliness, and professionalism of Elaine Sterling Institute. This position ensures a consistent supply of clean towels and supports the upkeep and organization of facilities across locations. What you'll do
- Wash, dry, and fold towels to maintain a consistent and high-quality supply for students and academic instructors.
- Drive the company van between locations to transport laundry and supplies as needed.
- We are flexible for the hours for this role, but they must be between 2PM and 11PM. This role is located at our Dunwoody location.
- Clean and maintain bathrooms to ensure sanitary and professional facilities.
- Perform general facility cleaning including sweeping, mopping, and floor care.
- Assist with organization and general upkeep of classrooms and common areas.
- Provide operational support across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- If necessary, relieve the front desk receptionist during lunch breaks and other short absences as needed.
- Maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Open to driving company van when needed.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and dependability.
- Ability to perform physical work and remain active throughout the workday.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25–40 pounds (such as laundry bags, towels, and cleaning supplies).
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach while performing cleaning and facility tasks.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment and basic cleaning tools safely.
- Ability to load and unload laundry and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
- Ability to climb stairs and move between building areas as needed.
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for transport of laundry and supplies.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as folding towels and handling laundry.
