Position Summary:
The Regional Operations Director leads multi-site clinical research operations across a regional portfolio, driving enrollment performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing high-performing site leadership teams to deliver consistent, scalable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees regional site operations while building and coaching site staff, strengthening team performance, and supporting the expansion of a high-growth clinical research network.
- Owns operational execution across assigned research sites, with accountability for enrollment, revenue performance, quality metrics, and standardization of clinical trial processes.
- Effectively trains and manages clinical research site staff, conducting weekly 1:1s and monthly on-site visits to monitor productivity and performance.
- Oversees site staff adherence to SOPs, GCP, and protocol requirements, and leads remediation efforts when quality issues arise.
- Communicates regularly with the sponsor, investigators, and other stakeholders to provide timely updates on study progress and to address any issues or concerns.
- Identifies and implements quality improvement initiatives, continuously evaluating and improving site performance and addressing any identified issues.
- Develops thorough knowledge of applicable regulations and standards to ensure compliance and navigate the regulatory landscape.
- May perform other job-related duties as requested or required.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in GCP, FDA, and HIPAA policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and performance with CRCs.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, CTMS, and related systems.
- Ability to travel to assigned sites on a monthly basis.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Management, Life Sciences, etc.) required.
- 7+ years of clinical research experience required.
- 5+ years of site management experience required.
- 3+ years of regional, multi-site management experience strongly preferred.
Candidates in Atlanta, GA, or surrounding area are preferred. Role will oversee and require frequent travel to the following locations:
- Canton, GA
- Jefferson City, TN
- Hattiesburg, MS
The pay range for this role is:130,000 - 150,000 USD per year(Remote)
