What does a Production Carpenter do at Blackdog?
Home Services Production Carpenters at Blackdog are an integral part of building our award-winning projects. They utilize their skills and knowledge, under the direction of one of our talented Home Services Technicians, to perform all tasks involved in residential remodeling. While not all skills listed below are required, it is expected that our Production Carpenters will continue to add to their current skillset while working on the skills needed to progress to the position of a Home Services Technician.
The desired skillset of a Production Carpenter include:
- Interior and Exterior Trimwork
- Cabinet Installation
- Framing
- Demolition
- Handyman Work
- Siding and Roofing
- Blueprint Reading
- Door and Window Installation
- Drywall
In a Production Carpenter position you would be required to:
- Own your own basic set of carpentry tools to complete a variety of tasks
- Have a positive attitude and a good work ethic
- Be comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Work both indoors and out… in a mix of New England weather conditions
- Have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Successfully pass a background check
- Listen well, take instruction and work independently when needed
- And, most importantly, take pride in your work!
For the right Production Carpenter candidate, we offer:
- A competitive starting wage ranging from $18.00 - $25.00/hour (based on experience)
