Insight Coldwater is seeking an Acute Care/Telemetry registered nurse (RN) to assume the responsibility and accountability for delivery of patient care of medical and surgical
telemetry patients. The registered nurse (RN) demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner, with supervision. The registered nurse (RN) exhibits critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care, and consistently performs according to nursing standards while remaining accountable for providing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. This facility admits non-critical care pediatrics from 6 months and older.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
- One year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience within the last three years preferred.
- One year of cardiac telemetry monitoring experience within the last three years preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS cards.
- Experience in NIHSS assessments.
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours/week depending on contract. 7:00a-7:00p; 7:00p-7:00a
Contract Length: 13 weeks, extensions available, 26 weeks preferred.
Ratios: 5 pts to 1 RN – Days, 5 pts to 1 RN – Nights. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
ICU/Stepdown
Insight Coldwater is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and
the delivery of patient care. The Coldwater ICU is a mixed acuity unit. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) consistently performs according to critical care and intermediate care nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. May be assigned to rapid response or code blue teams.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
- One year of acute or intermediate care experience preferred.
- One year of critical care experience within the last three years required.
- One year of cardiac telemetry monitoring experience within the last three years required.
- Current BLS and ACLS cards.
- Experience in NIHSS assessments.
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours/week depending on contract. 7:00a-7:00p; 7:00p- 7:00a.
Contract Length: 13 weeks, extensions available, 26 weeks preferred.
Ratios: 2 pts to 1 RN (ICU level patients); 3-4 pts to 1 RN dependent on acuity (intermediate level patients). May have mix of ICU and intermediate patients – ratio will
be determined on severity of ICU level patient (max 3 pts to 1 RN if one is ICU level patient). May be required to float to medical-surgical floor as needed. Block scheduling
is not guaranteed.
IP Psych
Insight Coldwater is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatric registered nurse (RN). The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) registered nurse (RN) requires a wide range of
nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH registered nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis,
and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The registered nurse (RN) demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient
manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
- One year of PMH Registered Nurse (RN) experience within the last three years preferred.
- Current BLS card.
- Experience in Aegis de-escalation or similar de-escalation training.
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours/week depending on contract. 7:00a-7:00p; 7:00p-7:00a.
Contract Length: 13 weeks, extensions available, 26 weeks preferred.
Ratios: 8 pts to 1 RN dependent on acuity. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Emergency Department
The Emergency Department (ED) registered nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care
in the emergency department setting. The ED registered nurse provides care to patients of all ages. May be assigned to rapid response or code blue teams.
Qualifications:
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
- One year of acute or intermediate care experience preferred
- One year of emergency department care experience within the last three years required.
- One year of cardiac telemetry monitoring experience within the last three years required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC card.
- Experience in NIHSS assessments.
- Experience in Aegis de-escalation or similar de-escalation training.
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 36-48 hours/week depending on contract. 7:00a-7:00p; 11:00a-
11:00p; 3:00p-3:00a; 7:00p-7:00a.
Contract Length: 13 weeks, extensions available, 26 weeks preferred.
