Are you someone who loves animals and enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? Join our team at Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, a hybrid hospital providing both Emergency and Primary Care services. We’re looking for a dedicated Kennel Assistant to help care for our patients, maintain a clean and safe environment, and support our clinical team.
Schedule
- 3x12s, Sat-Mon 3pm-4am OR Wed-Fri 3pm-4am (swing shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for patients, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring comfort (patient husbandry)
- Safely handle and restrain animals as needed for treatments or movement
- Assist the veterinary team with basic treatments and diagnostics
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, treatment areas, and hospital spaces
- Stock and organize supplies in treatment and care areas
- Perform laundry and general upkeep of the facility
- Support team members with additional tasks as needed and maintain a positive, can-do attitude
About You
- Animal experience preferred but not required - we will train the right person!
- Compassionate communicator with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $20-$22 per hour (+current shift differential rate)
