Position Information
The Extramural Funds Accountant II is responsible for post-award administration of contracts and grants, with a primary focus on private sponsor and multi-campus awards. Key duties include award setup in Oracle Cloud Financials Project Portfolio Management (PPM), invoicing and billing, accounts receivable management and collections, financial reporting, and award closeout in accordance with sponsor terms and conditions. The role ensures accurate system configuration of award requirements, including billing terms, revenue recognition, and cost sharing. The incumbent reviews financial activity for compliance, supports cost sharing and F&A oversight, and ensures accurate financial data within PPM. Provides guidance and support to departmental analysts on post-award administration and transactional processing. Also oversees compliance of travel-related expenses on federal awards and performs other related duties as assigned.The full salary range for the Extramural Funds Accountant II is $57,700.00 - $99,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $78,500 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Minimum Requirements | Knowledge of accounting function and assignments. |

Preferred Qualifications | Fund accounting experience obtained at an institution of higher education. |
| Demonstrated experience in accounting for contracts & grants and post award administration experience, as well as interpreting contractual agreement terms and conditions. |
| Recent experience, within the past 24 months, in fiscal administration position at a University of California campus. |
| Recent experience in the field of contract and grant fiscal administration obtained at an institution of higher education with knowledge of Uniform Guidance, |
| Demonstrated experience with University of California, Riverside and knowledge of UC policies and procedures, along with Oracle Cloud Financials and/or Project Portfolio Managements |
