Position Overview
The Project Manager role works directly with subcontractors, schedules and manages commercial project installations, as well as supports and reports directly to the Director of Commercial Operations. The Project Manager also works in coordination with other members of the commercial team to service customers, coordinate schedules, and allocate resources efficiently. This role also assists with reviewing labor and material costs, contract and order accuracy, and is the primary contact for commercial customers when crews are on their site installing. The Project Manager also manages the company's daily relationship with subcontractor crews.
Key focus areas for this role are:
- Communicating with clients - to schedule installation date(s), communicate adjustments to project timelines to customer and internal teams as required.
- Monitor and manage projected installation list.
- Maintain communication, partnership with subcontractor crews.
- Monitor orders for accuracy.

Role and Responsibilities
- Review new projects for accuracy, evaluate needs/requirements.
- Ensure our company and all independent contractors meet safety and quality objectives
- Coordinate ordering of required materials with suppliers and our on-site fabrication shop
- Keep an open line of communication with clients and internal sales representatives regarding project timelines and installation dates
- Notify utility companies (i.e., JULIE) of upcoming installations so that underground public utilities are marked in time for installation
- Work with client to identify private utility risks and mitigation plan
- Hold pre-construction meetings as needed
- Coordinate daily mid-day check-ins with subcontractors to evaluate project progress and timely completion
- Contact customers if installation dates need to be adjusted or rescheduled due to weather, scheduling complications
- Use internal CRM to document all communication and project tasks
- Track subcontractor invoices
- Evaluate project financial performance upon project completion (budget v. actual)
- Assist with inventory control
Required Skills
- Previous experience in project scheduling, construction management and/or project management
- A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage many projects at once
- Highly organized
- Effective problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
- Experience working with and resolving customer issues and concerns
- Experience navigating customer escalations
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively and respectfully with customers and internal team members.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications
- Gmail/Gsuite
- CRM/Salesforce
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated to achieve daily responsibilities
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in the fence industry a plus, not required.
- Previous experience using Salesforce a plus, not required.
The pay range for this role is:65,000 - 75,000 USD per year(west chicago)
