Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides security for patients, employees and visitors. Protects hospital buildings and assets.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
- Preferred
- One year of experience in Public Contact Work
- Completion of one year of an approved Security Officer Training Course
Certification/Licensure:
Required
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Level III SAFE Training
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- Level II Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
- Must obtain within sixty (60) days of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination.

- Level III Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
- Must obtain within (6) months of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination. Recertification is required every two (2) years.
