Job Title: Medical Unit Nurse Manager (RN Manager Medical Telemetry)
Position Summary: The Nurse Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational management of a 25-bed Medical Telemetry Unit with a Swing bed program. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting staff development, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide leadership and oversight for daily clinical operations of the Medical Telemetry Unit.
Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care for patients transitioning from acute care to rehabilitation or skilled nursing services.
Monitor patient outcomes, quality indicators, and regulatory compliance.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate nursing staff.
Promote professional growth through education, competency validation, and performance feedback.
Foster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable team culture.
Manage staffing schedules to ensure appropriate patient-to-staff ratios and quality care delivery.
Delivers timely coaching, feedback, and corrective action to support team performance and support organizational policies.
Operational Management
Oversee unit budgets, resource utilization, and supply management, contributing to the great financial sustainability of the organization.
Oversight of Case Management team and processes.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards for acute care and swing bed programs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapy, physicians, and support services to coordinate patient care.
Quality & Performance Improvement
Contribute to and Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes, safety, and patient experience.
Monitor metrics such as falls, infections, readmissions, and patient satisfaction.
Implement best practices when opportunities for improvement are identified.

Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing
Preferred Education: Master's degree in nursing
Required Licensure: Washington State RN License
Specialty Certification: BLS required, ACLS preferred
Required Experience: Three to five years of progressive population-specific and/or clinical experience required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of swing bed regulations, skilled nursing care standards, and quality metrics.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead interdisciplinary teams.
Commitment to patient-centered care and staff engagement.

Physical Demands:
